Kamenec Ski Resort Teplice nad Metují
The ski resort is located in close proximity to the hotel offering two 500-meter slopes that are covered in artificial snow and groomed on a daily basis. The slopes are suitable for both beginning and experienced skiers as well as for families with children and school skiing courses. There is also free parking, a ski hire shop and a fast food restaurant. Skiing courses and the services of instructors need to be booked in advance.
The Broumov area offers gently rising cross country skiing trails with wide views to all cross country skiing enthusiast. There are dozens of kilometres of groomed and interconnected trails enabling skiers to plan all-day or half-day trips to various places or a circuit that starts and ends at the same location. This skiing paradise includes the surroundings of Machov, Teplice nad Metují, Police nad Metují, the Broumov Rocks and the Javoří Mountains on the Czech-Polish borders. There are even more groomed trails in the Polish Góry Stołowe National Park near Karłów.

With heavy snowfall, it will certainly be an adventurous journey. However, the circuit is easily passable on normal winter days. The deep gorges of Siberia (Sibiř) seem to be clenched even more tightly under the flood of snow while the icy Rocky Brook (Skalní potok) gurgles beneath your feet. The Temple Rocks (Chrámové stěny) are only illuminated by sun in late afternoon, the Temple Squares (Chrámová náměstí) are unusually quiet. You can also hike to the tallest peak of the Adršpach-Teplice Rocks – Stork (Čáp). There is a lookout on its summit offering panoramic views of Giant Mountains (Krkonoše) and Orlice Mountains (Orlické hory).
